8 Plait nylon is the ideal choice for anchor rode. Compared to traditional 3 strand nylon, the tensile strength is similar, but the multi-strand woven lay allows the rope to lay more compactly in the anchor locker. As a result, you have more rode available if needed. In addition, the 8 plait does not twist or knot up, allowing the windlass to perform more efficiently. More importantly, the 8 plait design absorbs higher shock loads better when compared to 3 strand. Includes bucket and 5/16″ shackle.
